Cafe Ciocollato

Chocolate, coffee, art

The highlight of the St. Louis World Wide SketchCrawl was the visit to Cafe Ciocollato. It was the perfect respite from the rainy outdoors with lots of big comfortable chairs surrounded by art and did I mention chocolate? The focus here is on the the large display cases filled with trays of hand-crafted artisan chocolates.  Hot chocolate is served in an individual pot to be poured over a marshmallow slab that is made on the premises. Chocolate martinis, espressos, lattes, etc. are on the menu. I’m a coffee hound but not very adventurous so I usually order the Caffe Americano which goes just  right with a sketchbook and an ink pen.

The marble and granite sculptures of  Abraham Mohler are currently on exhibition at Cafe Cioccolato, 816 Locust, St. Louis, MO.

I totally forgot about SketchCrawl. Ugh. The palette in this one is fantastic. Very tight! Like it!

  2. Thanks, Steven. The StLSkC was a success despite the pouring rain. The link is to a group photo album of the event.
